Those residents who do not receive mail at their street address have been or will be visited by roving Census Bureau workers hired to deliver the questionnaire this month.
With a growing anti-government sentiment in the country, many residents are suspicious of a government employee walking up their driveway to knock on their door.
More than likely, these temporary workers (retirees, unemployed, single moms, etc.) are your neighbors who have no political agenda and are just trying to earn a buck in this down economy.
We don’t care who you are or what you do in your own home, so we ask for your cooperation. And, if possible, please control your dogs when we approach your home.
