I sincerely hope that Help ‘N Hands will not have negative reactions from prospective clients following the March 13 article, “Help ‘N Hands strikes deal with state to stay in business.” I have used their services and found all of the employees sent to my home to be kind and efficient.
My son is 16 years old and has cerebral palsy, which affects him physically and mentally. Due to a back injury last summer, I found myself unable to care for all of my son’s personal needs without outside help. I truly believe that any person who voluntarily assists with the care of any individual with disabilities has to have something special inside of them. Prince Akanni was a reliable and responsible worker who genuinely cared about my son and his needs. My son misses him and the thought that he is unable to be involved in caring for the needs of others, like my son, seems tragic.
