Writers understand where we stand

Finally, two letters that affirm knowledge that our current administration in Washington, D.C., couldn’t care less about the American taxpayer! I had to smile and praise God for the letters from Ken Hopstad and Keith England on Sunday. Thanks for printing their views.

Bush and Cheney and their ilk are indeed “getting rich” and richer every day, and it’s past time that people recognized that war, tax cuts for the wealthy, a prescription drug plan that favors the drug companies, deregulation of the airwaves, continuing ecological ignorance, cozy relations with Saudi Arabia, and dozens of other Republican policies aren’t created with the average “little guy” in mind. Someone recently asked Cheney if he knew that the majority of Americans are against the war in Iraq, and his answer was, “So?”

Anyway, thanks. Finally I could begin the day with a smile and a hooray!
