Regarding the Sunday article about catalytic converters, “Easy to steal, pricey to replace”:
Thank you, Herald, for showing everyone how to steal from us. Not only did you do all the research on how to steal catalytic converters but you included illustrations and said it can be done in under 3 minutes. You have aided and abetted criminals and would-be thieves now.
You saved them from doing any and all research; you did the homework for them. Now they just lie in wait for us to go grocery shopping, Christmas shopping and for a hopsital visit, etc. Bam, another converter gone, thanks to your reporting. Some things do not need reporting on. Stop helping the criminals. We know the converters are expensive to replace. What did you hope to accomplish by this little tidbit of information? You basically wrote “How to Steal a Catalytic Converter for Dummies.” Let’s see, why was Everett ranked 55th in crimes in the U.S.? Because we tell them how to do it in the Sunday paper?
