The Sky River Soccer Club supports the upcoming school-bond election and we urge Monroe citizens to vote yes. This vote is an investment in the future of our community. Just as we invest our soccer club’s money into field improvements and expansion to meet the growing needs of our young players, the school district needs to invest in new facilities and upgrade existing ones. If we have soccer fields in poor condition, players will go elsewhere. If Monroe does not invest in school facilities, families will go elsewhere as well. Our kids deserve quality sport facilities, lots of healthy classroom space, and up-to-date technology so they have every opportunity to become successful adults.
A first-rate school district will attract and keep the families who value quality education and community-based organizations. Our soccer club serves more than 1,000 kids ages 4 through 17. A yes vote is a vote to support these kids and all the others who live in your neighborhoods.
This bond election is not a referendum on taxes; it is a vote for a future Monroe. What sort of Monroe do you want to live in? I want to live in a town that showcases quality education, a wide choice of youth activities, strong athletic teams and community involvement.
