Everett’s “Art of Flight” exhibit continues, even though a certain big local airplane artist is having some trouble with its muse. Next week, the exhibit features a visit from Erik Lindbergh, grandson of famed aviator Charles Lindbergh and an accomplished pilot and sculptor in his own right.
Charles Lindbergh was the first to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean without stopping in 1927. He later was accused of being a Nazi sympathizer and secretly fathering seven children in Germany.
Erik Lindbergh followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by emulating his solo flight across the Atlantic in 2002. He’ll probably want to stop at that.
