Every now and then something happens that causes one to think that there may yet be reason to believe that all is not lost.
On July 7, my wife and I were working in our back yard when a young man and woman approached us and asked if we had a black cat with a blue collar because, they had just run over one in the road. It was our cat, and he did not survive. I cannot express how grateful we are that these young adults had the compassion and thoughtfulness to stop and find us. I know that this can be a very hard thing to do and, in this “on the go” world, a lot of people would just keep on driving.
I would also like to thank the parents of these kids for bringing them up with some good values; it seems to be getting fewer and farther between that you see this. Thank you again, kids, for stopping. It meant a lot.
