Thanks to the continuous and generous support of the communities in Snohomish County and the caring commitment of our membership, this was a record year for Assistance League of Everett’s Operation School Bell. We provided new school clothing to 3,040 students in our facility and expanded out Teen Retail program to clothe 826 Snohomish County High School students through our partnership with local Fred Meyer stores.
The funds that make these programs possible come primarily from your donations to and patronage of Assistance League of Everett Thrift shop. Estate sales are another very important way we raise funds as well as our annual dinner/auction. Many businesses, PTSs and PTSAs support us through generous grants and auction donations during the year.
We have been fortunate to receive handmade hats, scarves, and headbands from many individuals and groups such as the Linus Project, and the Mukilteo Weavers. The students love to select the hat and scarf to match their new coat.
However, it takes more than money to clothe the children who come through our doors. The Operation School Bell volunteer family put in many, many hours behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. They are your friends and neighbors and are truly dedicated to improving the lives of Snohomish County children in need. I also want to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at the schools we serve. Including the many volunteer drivers who transport children to and from Operation School Bell. We are one very big team.
Our mission is to promote the well-being and self-esteem of children, teens and adults in Snohomish County, and with your continued support, we are successful.
Thank you.
