You’re a liberal redneck when…

I was shocked on Sunday to find one of the most intolerant columns I have ever read in The Herald. I refer to Sid Schwab’s “Manifest Destiny: The South has gotta go.” It sounded as though it came from a liberal redneck. Can one exist in this place? I guess he can.

I have thought that Washington state prides itself on being tolerant of the views of other people. Mr. Opinion Page Editor, you should be ashamed for allowing such an attack on fellow citizens with alternative points of view to be let loose on your editorial page. It is either that or set your clock back 150 years and support secession of the South. That will accomplish what the columnist seeks.
