Don’t hide under the balls: Folks in the Netherlands are playing games of hide-and-seek in Ikea stores, and the retail giant isn’t happy about it.
Ikea says it’s concerned for the safety of its customers — and, presumably, of game players who become hopelessly lost in the giant stores’ vast trackless wastelands of MÄRKIND bookshelves and SVÖNYN entertainment centers, and are never heard from again.
Perhaps the House of Lords is more his style: An Illinois congressman resigned Tuesday amid revelations of lavish spending, including redecorating his official office in “Downton Abbey” style.
In announcing his resignation, Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Burke’s Peerage, cited the distraction of “constant questions” about his spending — and the difficulty of employing a suitable valet and household staff on a congressman’s salary.
Nobody puts Bibi into a corner: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared victory in a tight parliamentary election Tuesday.
Analysts credited Netanyahu’s apparent victory to a strong turnout by his base: the Republican Party.
