Everett — The Everett Merchants’ season finale was spoiled by a talented Seattle Studs team.
Kevin Rodland had two RBI and Ian Parmley added an RBI for Everett, but the Studs outscored the Merchants 8-3 Friday at Everett Memorial Stadium in the season finale for both baseball teams.
The Studs (40-11) will compete in the National Baseball Congress World Series starting next week.
The Merchants, who finished 27-9 on the season, also received an invitation to the National Baseball Congress, but will not attend this year due to scheduling conflicts.
