The WIAA unveiled its annual Scholastic Cup standings, and King’s of Shoreline won the Class 1A Scholastic Cup title for the fourth consecutive year. The Knights scored 1,430 points, the second-highest total among this year’s Cup winners. (Mercer Island, the 3A Cup champion, scored 1,775 points.)

In 2A, Archbishop Murphy (1,180 points) was the runnerup behind first-place Sehome (1,235 points). Four Murphy squads won 2A state academic championships this school year: girls soccer, girls swimming, baseball and boys soccer.
In 4A, the top local school was Stanwood, which scored 835 points and finished in seventh place. In 3A, the top local school was Shorewood, which scored 805 points and finished in seventh place.
