Career: Boswell was a three-time national champion at Seattle Pacific, leading the Falcons to the 1997 Collegiate Gymnastics national championship and a runner-up finish the following year. She was the all-around national champion in 1998, scoring 38.60 on four events. Boswell is a nine-time All-American who won national titles in the bars (1996, 1998) and all-around (1998).
Postscript: Boswell coached two years at SPU, then got her master’s degree in sports administration and physical education. She spent four years coaching at a club in Kirkland but recently retired because she is expecting her first child in September. Now Deni Boswell Maxwell, she is 29 years old and lives in Snohomish.
