3A Northwest District Track

Girls Northwest District meet: After the first day of the State Qualifing meet, only three local stars advanced. Meadowdale’s Giana Martin won the 800 preliminary race and teammate Jessica Duty claimed a third place in the 100-prelim to advance into the finals. Nikki D’Amico captured the lone victory for Lynnwood in the 800 preliminary race to advance to the final heat.

Boys Northwest District meet: Lynnwood and Meadowdale each had three athletes qualify for the final heats. Meadowdale was led by Ryan Johnson and Kevin Myhre, who both won their preliminary events. Lynnwood’s Chad Smith qualified for the finals in two events and teammates Orlando Smith and Vince Kinney each captured second place finishes.

Smith (Lynnwood) 24.31, 4. C. Smith (Lynnwood) 24.39.
