The Meadowdale girls will go home with a trophy this weekend. Tomorrow they’ll find out if its fifth-place or eighth-place hardware.
Meadowdale overcame tired legs and defensive lapses to beat Fort Vancouver 58-50 this morning. Eryn Jones shot poorly from the field again but scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help lead the Mavericks.
Meadowdale, which withstood a 24-point, seven-rebound performance by Fort Vancouver’s Kierra Harrison, will play in the fifth/eighth-place game 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Hec Ed. Their opponent will be either Auburn or Lakeside.
