One day after failing to win her second consecutive state title in the 3A shot put, Arlington’s Kjirsten Jensen was all smiles.
The reason: Earlier this morning Jensen won the 3A discus with a personal-best throw of 133 feet, 3 inches.
Everett’s Kirsten Smith, who beat Jensen yesterday in the shot put finals, placed second behind Jensen in the discus.
It’s going to be a busy day. J Hopkins of Everett was second a while ago in the 3A boys 110-meter hurdles finals. He’s scheduled to defend his 300 hurdles crown at 1:10 p.m.
