Career: The most likely athlete to move up this list, Brockman is one of the best pure athletes in Snohomish County history but is still a few years away from piling up the achievements. For a prep player, he is about as decorated as an athlete can get. A four-year varsity player who led Snohomish to three state tournaments, including a Final Four appearance as a senior, Brockman was AP state player of the year and a McDonald’s All-American as a senior. He averaged 30 points and 14 points per game for the 2004-05 Panthers.
Postscript: Brockman is the prized recruit of the University of Washington’s incoming class. He turned down Duke, among other schools, to stay home and play for the Huskies. UW coach Lorenzo Romar has high hopes for Brockman over the next four years.
