Jackson 7, Lake Stevens 0: At Lake Stevens, Jackson’s Nick Kiel improved to 6-1 by holding Lake Stevens to just three hits while striking out six for the Timberwolves.
“He had some nasty stuff going,” Jackson head coach Kirk Nicholson said.
Playing in the North division, Lake Stevens head coach Rodger Anderson said his team simply had not seen pitching of the caliber of Kiel all season.
“(Kiel) mixed his pitches really well and every time we hit the ball hard, it just was right at somebody. … It was just one of those games,” Anderson said.
Jackson senior Miles Brown batted 3-for-4, including a bases-loaded single and a two-run home run, and had four RBI.
