It’s been a pretty solid day so far for the area’s teams at the 4A state basketball tourneys, especially the girls. Lake Stevens and Snohomish both blasted their first-round opponents in the girls tourney.
Edmonds-Woodway just beat Kentridge on the boys side. The other local boys teams, Mariner and Snohomish, lost earlier today.
Jackson, the District 1 girls champion, is in the first quarter of its game against Moses Lake. Led by 6-foot-5 junior post Carly Noyes, Moses Lake is ahead 13-7. Noyes already has 11 points. She looks unstoppable inside.
