As usual, there isn’t a whole lot to report from what we see on the field at the start of practice, but worth noting was who was watching: receiver Curtis Shaw.
Shaw, who played tailback and receiver as a true freshman and was expected to start at receiver this season, left the team during fall camp for unspecified personal reasons. On Thursday, he was sitting in the bleachers wearing a Husky sweatshirt watching his team practice.
Shaw’s father, who was at practice with him, said Shaw would be back in March.
Craig Noble, practicing for the second time this year, was in full pads today, though Willingham said today that he doesn’t expect the freshman defensive tackle to play this week.
