A Few Quick Notes

We’re 5:30 to go before the start of the game.

A few things before the game starts, pretty much none of which has to do with the game:

The bugs flying around here are straight out of Jurassic Park, they are gigantic. I’m glad the press box is closed, they’re freaking me out.

We were watching the USC-Washington State game, which has been a great game, and a few minutes ago they switched the TVs in the press box to the live feed from Arizona. What do we care about that? We can see the cheer squad on the field, we don’t need to see it on the TV. So there’s been complaining about that.

Apparently, Lorenzo Romar is in attendance, sitting with Todd Turner in Turner’s box.

Word is that there’s about 5,000 fans at Hec Ed for the feed of the game. If anyone here’s a better number than that, let me know.

There are a couple of officials from the Emerald Bowl sitting right behind me, talking to Dick Baird. But forget that. I don’t want to go to San Francisco, I’m focused on Hawaii.

We’ve got two minutes to go before kickoff. Washington has won the toss, it deferred and Arizona will receive.

Washington’s captains were Roy Lewis, Sonny Shackelford, Michael Braunstein and Clay Walker. Why Braunstein and Walker? They are the two Arizona natives on the roster (though they’re from the Phoenix area).

Under a minute to go for kickoff. We’ll check in later
