SEATTLE — Washington’s football team will receive more national attention early in the coming 2010 season as two early-season games have been selected for television by ABC/ESPN.
The networks and the Pac-10 Conference announced today that Washington’s Sept. 18 home game against Nebraska will air on ABC television and will kick off at 12:30 p.m. and that the Huskies’ game at USC on Oct. 2 will be carried by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 and will start at 5:00 p.m.
Television and kickoff time arrangements had already been previously announced for two of the Huskies’ games: Sept. 4 at BYU will kick off at 4:00 p.m. and will air on CBS College Sports, while the home game against UCLA was moved to Thursday, Nov. 18, and will be shown on ESPN at 5:00 p.m.
On or around June 1, FSN and the Versus Network will make their early television selections. After that, additional telecasts will be announced on a week-to-week basis, generally two weeks ahead of each game.
Washington has had every one of its last 38 games carried on live television.
