RENTON — Washington State University wide receiver Brandon Gibson became the first in-state player to get selected in the 2009 NFL draft Sunday, going to the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round.
Gibson was the 194th overall pick.
The University of Washington is on the verge of going without a draft pick in back-to-back years for the first time in school history.
Central Washington University has two prospects — quarterback Mike Reilly and tight end Jared Bronson — who have a chance of getting drafted.
