EVERETT — Seattle Mariners top prospect Harry Ford hit a grand slam in the eighth inning, but it wasn’t enough as Adael Amador homered three times and the Spokane Indians beat the Everett AquaSox 13-5 on Saturday night at Funko Field.
Yanquiel Fernandez homered twice for the Indians who slugged seven total home runs on their 13 hits in the game.
The AquaSox managed 11 hits, but Ford’s grabnd slam was the only significant blow. Ford and Ben Ramirez finished with two hits each.
Reid Morgan started on the mound for Everett (17-20) and allowed six runs on eight hits in four innings. Morgan struck out six and didn’t walk a batter.
Amador and Fernandez each had four RBI for Spokane (20-15).
