About the time Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik was answering questions about Milton Bradley’s arrest two weeks ago and how that that would affect his status with the team, this news broke:
Adam Kennedy, the middle infielder who the Mariners signed to help bring some veteran leadership to a young team, was arrested last night in Southern California on suspcion of DUI. He was pulled over just before 9 p.m. and spent the night in jail, released about 6:30 this morning.
Here’s the Orange County Register story on Kennedy’s arrest.
Asked later today about Kennedy’s arrest, Zduriencik declined comment because he’d just learned about it himself.
“I don’t have any details at all,” Zduriencik said. “Until I get information, I will refrain from comment.”
