Another Wesco all-star basketball event

Local basketball fans have another chance to watch many of the area’s best players next week.

The Wesco North vs. South High School Senior All-Star Games are March 19 at Jackson High School. The girls game starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youths.

Organized by Meadowdale girls basketball coach Dan Taylor, the games will feature senior boys and girls who earned All-Wesco honors this past season.

Yesterday a similar event took place at Monroe High, but it included a few non-seniors and there was no girls game.

Before Taylor’s games, the teams will practice together. They’ll do it Sunday, with the South teams practicing at Lake Stevens High and the North teams at Meadowdale High.
