EVERETT — Ryne Ogren hit a two-run double in the first inning, leading the Everett AquaSox to an 8-4 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Saturday for their sixth straight victory.
The double by Ogren scored Cameron Perkins and Cash Gladfelter to give the AquaSox a 2-0 lead.
The AquaSox later added one run in the second, four in the fourth and one in the sixth to secure the victory.
Tri-City missed an additional scoring opportunity in the fifth, when Justin Paulsen flew out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Everett right-hander Jheyson Caraballo (2-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter Cole Bellinger (1-1) took the loss in the Northwest League game after allowing three runs and three hits over two innings.
Everett took advantage of some erratic Tri-City pitching, drawing a season-high seven walks in its victory.
For the Dust Devils, Luis Asuncion homered and singled.
