BOISE — The Everett AquaSox took the middle game of a five-game series with the Boise Hawks by a score of 8-4 on Saturday night to extend their lead in the Northwest League North Division standings to three games.
Everett capitalized off a rough start from Boise hurler Logan Sawyer who led off the game by beaning Braden Bishop, who then advanced to second on a groundout by Jordan Cowan. Logan Taylor singled in Bishop, stole second, and was driven in by a double from Alex Jackson. Ryan Uhl doubled in Jackson and ran the AquaSox first inning run total to three.
Carlos Herrera put Boise on the scoreboard for the first time in the third inning with an RBI single.
With Everett up by two in the fifth, an error by Hawks’ third baseman Kevin Padlo plated two more runs for the Frogs who pulled ahead by a score of 5-1.
The AquaSox scored twice in the seventh and once more in the eighth via a home run from Jackson, his second of the season.
Lane Ratliff earned the victory for the Frogs with five innings of three-hit, one-run ball.
