KEIZER, Ore. — Eric Filia hit an RBI single in the top of the 12th inning to break a 6-6 tie and help the Everett AquaSox to a 12-9 win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in Northwest League baseball action Monday.
Johmbeyker Morales scored the go-ahead run on Filia’s single after he entered the game as a pinch runner. The AquaSox tacked on five more runs in the inning, including a bases-loaded walk by Filia that scored Donnie Walton.
In the bottom of the inning, Salem-Keizer scored on a bases-loaded double by Bryan Reynolds that brought home Ryan Howard, Kevin Rivera and Manuel Geraldo. However, the rally ended when Michael Koval struck out Heath Quinn to end the game.
Jason Goldstein doubled twice, singled, scored a run and drove in a run for Everett.
Koval (1-1) got the win in relief. Jeff Burke (1-1) took the loss.
Ryan Kirby homered, singled twice and drove in two runs for the Volcanoes. Ashford Fulmer singled twice and scored two runs.
