PASCO — Gabe Matthews hit a walk-off single and the Tri-City Dust Devils beat the Everett AquaSox 1-0 Sunday at Gesa Stadium.
The AquaSox (11-21) fell to 10 games below .500 despite allowing just four hits. Everett recorded six hits and four walks but left 15 runners on base.
Justin Lavey and Myles Miller each had two hits, including a triple by Miller, for the AquaSox.
Everett starter Bryce Miller fanned nine batters over six shutout innings. He gave up just three hits and didn’t walk a batter.
Leon Hunter (3-1) took the loss after allowing a pair of walks before Matthews’ game-winner. He recorded one out in the ninth.
Matthews had two hits and Edwin Yon hit a double for Tri-City (16-14).
Dust Devils starter Dylan King pitched five scoreless innings and allowed three hits and one walk. He struck out nine. Houston Harding (2-0) earned the win with two shutout innings out of the bullpen.
