SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians used a five-run seventh inning to pull away and beat the Everett AquaSox 8-2 on Sunday at Avista Stadium.
The Indians (35-32) took a 3-2 lead in the fifth when two runners scored on a strikeout wild pitch. Spokane added three runs in the seventh on a bases-loaded hit by pitch, sacrifice fly and an error. Grant Lavigne tacked on two more with a two-run home run.
Ty Duvall hit a solo homer and Myles Miller had an RBI single for the AquaSox (33-35).
Spokane starter Andrew Quezada (5-0) allowed two runs and five hits and one walk over six innings to go with five strikeouts.
Everett’s Jimmy Joyce (2-7) allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.
