EVERETT — Tra’mayne Holmes had two hits and scored two runs as the Hillsboro Hops beat the Everett AquaSox 12-6 on Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Hillsboro batted around in the first inning, sending 15 batters to the plate and scoring 12 runs, including a two-run home run by Francis Martinez.
Kai-Wei Lin (1-0) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Everett starter Carlos Hernandez (0-1) took the loss in the Northwest League game.
For the AquaSox, Geoandry Montilla doubled and singled. Connor Hoover singled twice, scoring two runs.
