SPOKANE — After a sizzling six-game sweep of Tri-City, the Everett offense continued to struggle and the AquaSox fell to the Spokane Indians 3-2 on Thursday night for their third straight loss.
Jack Larsen hit a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to give Everett a 2-0 lead, but the AquaSox failed to tack on any insurance runs from there and finished with just seven hits.
Spokane scored once in the bottom of the fourth inning and once in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 2-2.
In the bottom of the eighth the Indians scored the decisive run on a walk, a sacrifice and two wild pitches from Brendan McGuigan.
Emerson Hancock, the Seattle Mariners’ top pick in 2020, started and allowed only one earned run on one hit in 4.2 innings for the AquaSox. Hancock struck out four and walked two.
Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-4 and Kaden Polcovich added a double for Everett (10-5).
Willie MacIver homered for Spokane (5-10).
