EUGENE — Five Everett AquaSox pitchers combined to strike out 19 batters and allowed just three total hits in a 4-3 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Thursday night.
Prelander Berroa started for the AquaSox and struck out nine in 3.2 strong innings. Berroa allowed one run on one hit and walked five. Peyton Alford struck out five in 2.1 scoreless innings of relief, Evan Johnson struck out two in one inning and Leon Hunter Jr. struck out one in one inning. Isaiah Campbell struck out two in a clean ninth inning to earn his sixth save of the season.
Alberto Rodriguez hit a two-run home run, Cole Barr added a solo shot and Noelvi Marte had two hits to pace the Everett (34-37) offense.
Luis Matos, Casey Schmitt and Jairo Pomares each drove in a run for Eugene (42-27).
