EUGENE, Ore. — Victor Labrada hit a go-ahead solo home run on the first pitch of the seventh inning and the Everett AquaSox beat the Eugene Emeralds 6-4 on Sunday night at PK Park.
Alberto Rodriguez hit a pair of run-scoring doubles, Trent Tingelstad hit a two RBI double and Andy Thomas added an RBI double for the AquaSox (36-38). Noelvi Marte also reached base three times, scored three runs and stole two bases.
Five Everett relievers combined for 8.1 shutout innings after starter Juan Mercedes allowed four runs while recording just two outs. Leon Hunter Jr. (5-2) struck out two over two scoreless innings to earn the win. Isaiah Campbell struck out the side in a perfect ninth for his seventh save.
Rodolfo Bone hit a two-run single and Carter Aldrete and Robert Emery had RBI singles in the first for the Emeralds (43-29), who did all of their damage in the opening frame with two outs.
Evan Gates (0-1) took the loss after surrendering two runs on three hits and one walk over one inning.
