AquaSox top Hops in 11 innings for 1st win of season

Everett scores on a passed ball in extras and hangs on to beat Hillsboro 3-2.

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Austin Shenton scored on a passed ball in the 11th inning as the Everett AquaSox beat the Hillsboro Hops 3-2 for their first win of the season.

Shenton began the inning at second base, advanced to third on a flyout to right field by Kaden Polcovich and scored on the passed ball.

Brendan McGuigan pitched scoreless innings in the 10th and 11th and struck out three to earn the win for Everett (1-1).

AquaSox starter Levi Stoudt struck out seven batters and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings.

Zach DeLoach had two hits, including a two-run home run, to lead the Everett offense.

Corbin Carroll tripled and scored on an error in the first inning for Hillsboro (1-1).
