EVERETT — Blake Rambusch scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Everett AquaSox beat the Hillsboro Hops 3-2 on Wednesday night at Funko Field.
Everett jumped out to an early lead on a two-run double from Walking Cabrera in the bottom of the first inning.
The scored held until Hillsboro plated single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to pull even at 2-2 and eventually forced extra innings.
Jordan Jackson started on the mound for Everett (24-23) and turned in a strong outing. Jackson allowed just one earned run on five hits in six innngs. Michael Flynn tossed two scoreless frames in extras to earn the win.
Avery Short struck out seven in six scoreless innings of relief for Hillsboro (19-28).
