Error-free baseball

The AquaSox didn’t commit an error in Wednesday night’s 7-4 win over the Eugene Emeralds, the second game in a row in which Everett was perfect in the field. The AquaSox are 19-3 overall when the team doesn’t commit an error, proving defense really does help win ball games.

Anston streaking

Heading into Thursday night’s game, Everett outfielder Robbie Anston was batting .424 with one home run and six RBI over the last eight games for the AquaSox. Anston, a Boston College product, is hitting .297/.359/.378 with two home runs and 22 RBI in 54 appearances this season.

Birthday home runs

Outfielder Kalian Sams, who turned 24 on Wednesday, and outfielder Kevin Rivers, who turned 22 on Tuesday, each homered in Wednesday night’s win over Eugene.
