Everett’s Bott honored: AquaSox pitcher Glenn Bott has been named the Northwest League’s Pitcher of the Week for his efforts during the week of July 2-8.
The award was announced by SportsTicker, the official record-keeper for the minor leagues.
Bott, signed as a free agent by the Seattle Mariners (Everett’s major league affiliate) this season, made two relief appearances for the Sox this week. In six innings, he struck out 12 and gave up just one unearned run while earning a save.
