EVERETT — The Everett AquaSox continued their hot start to the 2010 Northwest League baseball season, defeating the Yakima Bears 6-5 Monday night on a walk-off single by Terry Serrano in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The game was Everett’s home opener and improved the Frog’s record to 4-0.
Anthony Phillips led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a double into the left-field corner. After a strikeout, a wild pitch sent Phillips to third. Serrano then hit a sharp single up the middle, setting off a jubilant celebration by the AquaSox.
