EUGENE — The Eugene Emeralds held the Everett AquaSox to just two hits in a 4-0 shutout win on Saturday evening.
Everett, which was eliminated from playoff contention a night before, got a double from Dariel Gomez and a base hit from Ben Ramirez, but couldn’t muster anything else.
Patrick Bailey hit a run-scoring double and Carter Williams added an RBI groundout in the fourth as the Emeralds took a 1-0 lead.
Robert Emery added a two-run double in the seventh to put Eugene up 4-0.
Jordan Jackson started on the mound for Everett (57-67) and allowed two runs on three hits in six quality innings. Jackson struck out seven and walked two.
Mason Black struck out nine and allowed no runs on just one hit in six innings for Eugene (75-47).
