Everett AquaSox outfielder Cade Marlowe was named the High-A West’s player of the month for July.
Marlowe is the third AquaSox player in as many months to receive the award. He joins former Everett outfielders Jack Larsen (May) and Zach DeLoach (June), who have both since been promoted to Double-A Arkansas.
It’s also Marlowe’s second player of the month award this season. He was named the Low-A West’s player of the month for May, when he was playing for the Modesto Nuts.
Marlowe batted .245 with six home runs, two triples and 11 doubles in 26 games in July. He posted a .348 on-base percentage and a .582 slugging percentage for the month.
Since being promoted to the AquaSox in mid-June, Marlowe is batting .242 with seven homers, three triples and 14 doubles in 37 games. He has a .317 on-base percentage and a .517 slugging percentage over that stretch.
Marlowe is ranked by MLB.com as the No. 27 prospect in the Seattle Mariners’ organization. The 24-year-old left-handed hitter was selected by the Mariners out of the University of West Georgia in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB draft.
