Three area basketball players have been selected to participate in the inaugural Puget Sound Throwdown All-Area Games, which will pit some of the best high-school players from the greater Seattle area against some of the best from the Tacoma area Saturday at Highline Community College in Des Moines.
Glacier Peak senior Paisley Johnson and Lynnwood senior Kelsey Rogers will compete for the Seattle-area girls team. Stanwood senior AJ Martinka will play for the Seattle-area boys team, which will be coached by Stanwood’s Zach Ward.
The girls game starts at 2 p.m. and the boys game starts at 4 p.m. Doors will open at 1 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. Children under age 10 will be free.
