Marcus Merisko of Snohomish medaled with a 3-over-par 75 over 18 holes at Legion Memorial G.C. to lead the Panthers to first place in a Wesco North Group B meet and co-medaled with teammate Michael Jaeger with a 1-over-par 73 over 18 holes at Snohomish G.C. to lead the Panthers to first place in another Wesco Group B meet.
Girls tennis
Danielle Kim of Shorewood won 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 at No. 4 singles in a 4-3 win over Shorecrest to preserve the Thunderbirds’ Wesco South winning streak now at 43-straight meets. Kim fell behind 3-0 in the third set and later trailed 5-4 before coming back to win.
Girls golf
Christa Goldie of Kamiak shot a 1-under-par 72 over 18 holes at the Skagit Valley Country Club to medal and lead the Knights to the team title in the Burlington-Edison Invitational.
Softball
Alona Personius of Lake Stevens hit a home run and drove in four runs in a 9-3 victory over Everett and tripled, homered and drove in three runs in an 8-1 victory over Stanwood.
Baseball
Jon Pennington of Granite Falls pitched a two-hitter and hit a two-run home run in a 4-3 victory over Sultan.
Boys soccer
Evander Ochoa of Lakewood scored three goals in a 4-2 victory over King’s and had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win over Cedarcrest.
Girls track
Jessica Yates scored 23 of the Panthers’ 86 points in leading Snohomish to the team championship at the Eason Invitational. Yakes won the triple jump (36 feet, 11 inches), set a personal record in finishing second in the long jump (17-4) and tied her PR while finishing fourth in the high jump.
Boys track
J Hopkins of Everett set a school record of 38.79 seconds in winning the 300-meter hurdles at the Eason Invitational and ran a leg on Everett’s second-place 1,600 relay team to help the Seagulls capture the team title.
