Boys basketball: Marysville-Pilchuck junior Nathan Lozeau followed up an 18-point performance in a triumph over Monroe with 24 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Lake Stevens. In the latter game, the 6-foot-9 post notched 12 points in the final period to help M-P (3-1, 6-1) grab a share of first place in the Wesco North.
Girls bowling: Andrea Hurley rolled a 212 game and a 554 series to help propel Everett past Ferndale in Mount Vernon.
Girls basketball: Meadowdale senior Caitlyn Rohrbach, a 6-foot post, helped the first-place Mavericks (4-0 in the Wesco South, 5-0 overall) stay undefeated by scoring 41 points in key victories over Jackson (3-1, 4-1) and Mountlake Terrace (3-1, 3-2).
Boys swimming: Oak Harbor’s Evan Wilson swam Class 4A state-qualifying times in the 200-meter individual medley (2 minutes, 16.39 seconds) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.08) in the Wildcats’ victory over Cascade.
Wrestling: Lake Stevens teammates Kelly Kubec (130 pounds) and Kai VanLueven (140) won individual championships Saturday at the 55-team Tri-State Tournament at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene. Kubec, a junior, and VanLueven, a senior, helped the Vikings tie for third place in the team standings.
