Boys basketball: Jackson guard Brian Rucker scored 20 points in a 66-56 victory over Lynnwood and tallied a season-high 31 in a 64-51 triumph over Shorecrest.
Girls bowling: Cascade’s Breanne Mattson rolled a high game of 214 and had a 581 series to help the Bruins sweep Ferndale and Jackson.
Girls basketball: Snohomish guard Daesha Henderson scored 70 points in three games, including a game-high 28 points Saturday in a 53-37 victory over King’s – the 2004-05 Class 2A state champion – at the Les Schwab Hoop Challenge. Henderson scored Snohomish’s first 11 points against King’s and finished with six steals.
Boys swimming: Trevor Olson of Lake Stevens won two individual events (the 50- and 100-yard freestyles) and swam anchor legs on two winning relays (200 medley and 200 freestyle) during the Vikings’ 113-56 non-conference triumph over Meadowdale.
Wrestling: Jackson’s Harrison Warner racked up four consecutive pins en route to the 215-pound title and the Toughest Man award (upper weight classes) at the Lake Washington Invitational.
