Baseball

Josh Spears of Lakewood was 7-for-8 with two home runs, two doubles and eight RBI in three victories over South Whidbey. Through last week Spears’ season batting average was .680.

Boys golf

Ricky McDonald of Edmonds-Woodway shot a 3-under-par 33 on March 24 in a meet against Kamiak and Shorecrest at Harbour Pointe Golf Course in Mukilteo. The junior had three birdies.

Boys soccer

Shane McDivitt of Monroe came off the bench to score both goals March 25 in a 2-0 victory over previously undefeated Cascade.

Boys track

Marek Domanski of Shorecrest won the discus and shot put events Thursday in a meet at Shoreline Stadium. His winning discus throw (154 feet, 1.5 inches) was 5 inches short of the school record.

Softball

Julia Nealer of Lynnwood pitched an eight-inning no-hitter and struck out 12 Thursday in a 1-0 victory over Edmonds-Woodway. Nealer walked three batters in her first no-hitter of the season.

Girls golf

Seo Hee Moon of Kamiak scored 37 Stableford points to earn medalist honors Thursday in a Wesco South meet at Nile Country Club.

Girls tennis

Freshmen Sara Fine and Sophie Roben of Edmonds-Woodway won the No. 3 doubles match 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) Thursday to give the Warriors a 4-3 victory over Kamiak.

Girls track

Sarahann Jackson of Stanwood won three events (200-meter run, 300 hurdles and the 400) Thursday, helping the Spartans tie Lake Stevens for first place in a Wesco North meet.
