The Bearcats point guard scored 17 points and had six rebounds and also played solid defense against Dan Kingma as Monroe shocked South No. 1 Jackson. Day also had seven points and eight points in wins over Cascade and Kamiak, respectively, as Monroe went 3-0 last week.

Snohomish | Girls basketball
The Panthers guard scored 36 points as Snohomish beat Kamiak in a Wesco crossover game last week. Young also hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points in a win over Mariner and scored 11 points in a win over Cascade as the Panthers went 3-0.

The Knights swimmer finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Kentridge Invitational and also took first in the 100 butterfly and helped the Knights’ 200 medley relay team to a first-place finish in wins over Mariner and Mountlake Terrace.

The Marauders grappler took first place in the 126-pound weight class at the Auburn Mountainview Tournament and also won a major decision over Kamiak’s Tyler Frisch in a tight Wesco South battle.

The Bruins bowler rolled a 226 and a 595 series as the Bruins set a season-high team series of 2,557 in a 3-0 win over Everett.
