Seimone Augustus of the Minnesota Lynx and Sylvia Fowles of the Chicago Sky have been named the Western Conference and Eastern Conference Players of the Week respectively for games played between Aug. 22 and Aug. 28.
Augustus won the award for the third time this season and seventh time in her career. She led the Lynx to a 3-0 record in the week, averaging 17 points per game.
Fowles also earned the award for a third time this season. It is the fifth time she has won the award in her career. She led the Sky to a 2-1 record for the week, averaging 17 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.67 blocks per game as she continues to help the Sky fight for the final playoff spot in the East.
