Berezowski nets winner as Silvertips top Winterhawks in OT

Everett scores late to force the extra frame and comes away with a 4-3 win over its division rival.

EVERETT — Jackson Berezowski scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Everett Silvertips beat the division-rival Portland Winterhawks 4-3 on Saturday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

After the Winterhawks took the lead on a goal from Robbie Fromm-Delorme at 9:45 in the final frame, Ryan Hofer scored on an assist from Olen Zellweger at 14:11 as the Silvertips pulled even and forced the extra period.

Jacob Hoffrogge and Austin Roest also scored goals, and Braden Holt made 44 saves on 47 shots for Everett (14-9-1-0).

Marek Alscher and Josh Zakreski scored, and Dante Gianuzze made 33 saves for Portland (18-4-2-1).
